Dental Implants Testimonial - Contemporary Dental Arts

This dental implants testimonial describes Beckie’s experience at Contemporary Dental Arts in Burlington, Vermont and Williston, Vermont. Beckie came in to have a dental implant placed to replace a tooth that had suffered damage in an accident. After undergoing treatment, Beckie has regained the confidence to smile, and she is not afraid to show her teeth to her friends and colleagues.

I had a dental implant placed by Doctor Shanard. My journey began about a year ago with her. 15 years ago I had an accident where I broke off a very large portion of front tooth. At the time, they put a filling on it and tried to make it look as good as possible for as long as possible. And at that time, they also told me that eventually, in the future, I would need to have a dental implant done.

So 15 years later, here I am. Doctor Shanard was recommended to me through a friend who actually sold her a motorcycle. Yes, we both ride. She said, "You know what? I know that you've been really not liking what the appearance of your front tooth looks like. It's been so long and it's discolored." She's like, "Why don't you try Doctor Shanard. She's really great." And I'm like, "Oh, I like the dentist I have now. I don't really see a reason to switch."

So then after, of course, I looked into Doctor Shanard, and I looked her up on the Internet, and all of her credentials were amazing, and I'm like, "You know what, she sounds really awesome. I should probably give her a call." So I did and a year later, here I am. And I just had my last procedure done this past week, and it's final, and I'm very happy and pleased.

When I first called, I talked to Penny behind the desk, and she is amazing. She is not just a receptionist, she is extremely knowledgeable of all the dental procedures. She's very warm and fun and bubbly and smiley. So upon my arrival, the first time coming here, it felt almost like a spa. Seriously.

It was like the whole aura of this place was awesome. There's fresh lemon water, ice water with real glasses. You don't get the chintzy little plastic cups. Hot tea beverages, they offer you whatever you want. Toothbrushes in the bathroom, just make yourself feel comfortable. Nice comfy couches, current magazines, TVs in every room, it's just very comfortable. So for me, that was a really good feeling because you usually go to the dentist and get really nervous and you just don't feel that good. Nobody really likes the dentist, but here, I really enjoy it.

I work with people, I smile all the time. Teeth is one of the first things that people see, and I always look at other people's teeth. I'm like, "Are they looking at my teeth?" And they probably are, and a lot of people, you know, they won't tell you, "Ooh, look at your teeth," but that's how I feel when people looked at me before I got my procedure done. And now afterwards, I'm happy to smile, and I'm just very, very pleased. I couldn't be happier.

Since my procedure, I feel like I definitely smiled more. I'm happier that I keep my mouth open. I'm not trying to hide anything. I'm just very smiley and although other people might not notice the procedure that I had done, or even knew what my teeth looked like before, I know and it just makes me feel more confident and happy.

I would absolutely recommend Doctor Shanard to anybody looking to get any procedure done. Cleanings, fillings, absolutely anything. The receptionist behind the desk is amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable of all the services provided here. They lay everything out for you. They give you a nice timeline. The hygienist is great. Everybody I've dealt with here is amazing.
